July is RAPS Feline Foster and Sponsorship Month

I was back at the Cat Sanctuary on Friday. I had to skip the previous Friday due to my mom's retirement party, and the Friday before that, my camera accidentally deleted all the photos I took. ARGH. So finally I got a chance to snap a few more photos of the wonderful cats at RAPS.
July is RAPS Feline Foster and Sponsorship Month
Friday, July 10th & Friday, July 24 -- Sponsorship and Foster orientation at the Richmond Animal Shelter at 5 pm.

RAPS has begun to care for almost 100 ill cats found in an urban barn in Richmond. Each cat and kitten requires antibiotics and testing for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS (or FIV).
RAPS is in desperate need of donations for the “Urban Barn Cats” to provide veterinary care and find adoptive homes. Tisol Pet Nutrition and Supply Stores have generously supplied high-quality cat food for these rescued cats, and RAPS is incredibly grateful for their timely donations. Animal Wellness Day is Sunday, July 19th
Photographer, Tracey Garbutt, will take Family Pet Photos by donations to RAPS.
You won't want to miss Animal Wellness Day at the Richmond Animal Shelter this month. RAPS has teamed with natural pet food stores and local veterinarians to provide you with information and supplies to help your pet stay healthy. But even more exciting is the Family Pet Photo Fundraiser! Bring your dog and the whole family to get your picture taken for a donation to RAPS. Photographer Tracey Garbutt is donating her time for the day to help RAPS, and who wouldn't love a picture of the furriest family member?
Animal Wellness Day runs from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. We'll see you there!

Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is a registered charity that operates two shelters in the City of Richmond, British Columbia. The first shelter, on No. 6 Road in Richmond, is North America's largest cat sanctuary. At this shelter homeless and abandoned cats and kittens are rescued and cared for. Most of these beautiful animals would have otherwise faced starvation, injury, disease and an early death due to the many hazards in their environment. The cat sanctuary is currently home to more than 800 animals. The second shelter is the City of Richmond Animal Shelter, which RAPS have operated since February 2007. In 2006, RAPS bid for and was awarded the city contract to take over operation of this shelter. By expanding to a second facility, RAPS now cares for a wider variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small domestic animals. In addition, the RAPS City Shelter runs a comprehensive adoption program to find the animals at this facility a safe and loving home.
